এবার বাজারে আসছে তেল বিহীন ইলেকট্রিক বাইক। হায়দরাবাদের এক অটোমোবাইল সংস্থা ৩ বছরের চেষ্টায় একটি ইলেকট্রিক বাইক তৈরি করেছে। নাম দিয়েছে Atum 1.0। এই বাইকটি চালাতে গেলে কোনো ড্রাইভিং লাইসেন্স লাগবে না। এই ইলেকট্রিক বাইকটির গতিবেগ ঘন্টায় ২৫ কিলোমিটার। চার্জ দিয়েই চলবে বাইক। নির্মাতা অটোমোবাইল সংস্থার দেওয়া তথ্য অনুযায়ী, ৪ ঘন্টা সময় লাগবে বাইকটির পুরো চার্জ হতে। এর জন্য ১ইউনিট বিদ্যুৎ খরচ হবে। একবার পুরো চার্জ হয়ে গেলে বাইকটি ১০০ কিমি টানা যেতে পারবে। নির্মাতাদের মতে প্রতি ১০০ কিমির জন্য মাত্র ৭ থেকে ১০ টাকার বিদ্যুৎ খরচ হবে এই Atum 1.0 বাইকটির। এই Atum 1.0-এর দাম আপাতত ৫০ হাজার টাকা রাখা হয়েছে।
বাইকের জনপ্রিয় কোম্পানি রয়্যাল এনফিল্ড তৈরি করছে এই ইলেকট্রিক বাইক যা তেল ছাড়াই চলবে। তবে এই গাড়ি তৈরির প্রক্রিয়া এখনও চলছে। ২০২২ সালে বাজারে আসবে রয়্যাল এনফিল্ডের তৈরি এই ইলেকট্রিক বাইক।
